FERNANDA GHI SILVIO GRAND
More than 30 years of artistic career as dancers and choreographers. Dancing for high artistic level events
to spread the marvellous values of the social dance and scenic arts of the argentine tango.
World-renowned dancers and choreographers, Fernanda and Silvio both began their careers in the 1990s.
Their artistry developed independently until they were brought together by their love of Tango, the magic of Buenos Aires milongas and the unique thrill of authentic Tango theatre productions.
Fernanda Ghi as performed in countless shows and exhibitions. She and her partner at the time were the first non-Asian dancers ever invited to perform at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, and were the feature dancers on the PBS special Tango Magic with Pablo Ziegler and the Orpheus Orchestra. Ghi has performed with several symphony orchestras such as New Mexico, Long Beach and Cincinnati and was commissioned with the creation of a tango ballet for the Tulsa Ballet Oklahoma. Fernanda served as a judge at the Mundial de Tango, the world competition for Argentine Tango. Her Boston based academy trains amateur and professional dancers.
Silvio Grand starred in the musical Dreams About Tango in the State Komedy Theatre of St. Petersburg and in the musical Piazzolla Passion of Tango in the Kremlin Palace Theatre and was also the director of the dance committee that represented Argentina at the 200 years of independence festival, with Nestor Marconi and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jalisco.
He was a dancer and choreographer of the musical Piazzolla Tango en tus ojos, presented throughout Europe; was a dancer of the company of Juan Carlos Copes, and performed with many orchestras such as Color Tango, Beba Publiese, Orquesta Silencio, Camara Da Vinci, Cinicinnati Chamber Orchestra, among others.
Fernanda's own dance company have toured the US, Japan and China for 15 years. Silvio's art stems from a background in theatre and television, and has shone in celebrated theatres such as The Kremlin Palace Theatre, St. Petersburg Musical Komedy Theatre and Luna Park in Buenos Aires.
